La Salle Club Members,
Greetings! The La Salle Club (LSC) of Christian Brothers High School is kicking off the 2019-20 athletic season with a big welcome from our Board of Directors to our CB parents, alumni, student athletes and the many generous supporters of the LSC.
The LSC, established in 1939, was created to support CB student athletes in areas where athletic budgets did not exist. Its fundraising efforts have provided athletic equipment, scoreboards, uniforms, travel, awards and facility upgrades during the past 79 years. We recently committed to $150,000 in both personal and LSC pledges over the next five years for the “Secure our Future” campaign to fund athletic facilities upgrades. These upgrades will include all-purpose football, soccer, lacrosse and track-and-field facilities. We are very proud of LSC investments in the past, current and future lives of CB student athletes.
The LSC will hold three major fundraisers for this year, kicking off with our Sacramento Baseball Hall-of-Fame Dinner in October at the Jack Witry Field House. This will be an event you won’t want to miss as we honor inductees who have made significant contributions to baseball in our community.
In addition to our Baseball Hall-of-Fame event, we ask our parents, alumni and friends to participate in our annual Membership Drive, and our Annual Family and Friends Golf Tournament. Information about all of our Membership Drive and tickets to all LSC events is available on our website or on the CB website.
The LSC and its volunteer Board of Directors is very proud of our investments of time and stewardship on behalf of Christian Brothers High School, its athletic department and -- most importantly -- the CB student athletes.
We hope you once again consider becoming a member and supporting the more than 700 student athletes of Christian Brothers High School.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions for the LSC, please do not hesitate to e-mail me at kirkmurphy214@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Kirk Murphy ‘77’
La Salle Club President
